Frosty the Snowman

Tempe and Frosty reunited after church.

Frosty and Tempe like sharing a snack and watching Sesame Street together.

Tempe always makes room in her carseat for Frosty!

Tempe has a new best friend--Frosty the Snowman. Jason's step-grandma gave it to us for Christmas. You know, one of those singing, dancing stuffed animals that they have during the holidays. Tempe has ALWAYS loved them at the store, and now she has her very own! She carries him around the house all day long, and he watches tv with her and even gets to go for rides in the car with her. She learned how to push the button on his hand to make him sing and dance... unfortunately, she did it so often, that the batteries died and we haven't replaced them yet. But, that doesn't mean she loves him any less!

Breathe in.... breathe out...

Happy Valentine's Day (one day late)! We had a fun day eating cheesecake, cookies, candy, chocolate covered strawberries... yum! After Tempe went to bed, Daddy and I watched LOST with some friends to celebrate.
Unfortunately, Tempe woke up very sick! She was having a hard time breathing all day, and Jason finally took her in to the doctor this afternoon, where they tested her oxygen levels and found them to be very low! Yikes! The doctor gave her a breathing treatment (just like Aunt Katelyn!), which Jason says Tempe screamed through, and then tested her for RSV. Luckily, the test came back negative! He gave her a popsicle ("Hot," Tempe said) and sent Daddy and Tempe home with $100 worth of prescription steroids and her very own inhaler. Tempe liked using the inhaler before bed and the special mask it came with after we showed her that Baby Persephone (her doll) could do it, too. It looks like Tempe must be taking after Daddy's asthmatic side of the family! I'm glad that I sent her in today... it was hard listening to my baby struggling to breathe!

"Up bath"

Tempe is discovering that those sounds coming out of her mouth actually mean something--and she can use them to tell us what she wants! So far, she has mostly been telling us that she wants to go "Up" for a "Bath" (her two favorite words). She is also very concerned that things will be too hot (her newest word). She says "Hot" when I give her a snack (even if it's just cottage cheese) and waits until I reassure her that it's not hot.
Luckily for us, she still hasn't learned to say "No"! She says "Yeah" to pretty much everything we ask, though.
