John Barrasso M.D. sends me his warm regards

Well, I didn't think it got any better than getting a letter from Tom Buchanen, but it looks like it does! Today I got a letter from John Barrasso M.D., Wyoming Senator, congratulating me again on making the President's Honor Roll! I wonder if I will get one from the President of the U.S. as well, or at least the Governor of Wyoming. Jason says he doesn't think so, but he didn't think I'd be getting letters from senators either, did he?
For anyone who is concerned about their tax money going towards my congratulatory letters, don't worry--there is a disclaimer at the bottom of my letter that assures me the letter is not printed at taxpayer expense.
In other news, LOST returns tonight, and Jason and I are pretty excited. More about that later!

Tom Buchanen is so thrilled that I got a 4.0

Yesterday I got a letter from Tom Buchanen, who I guess is the President of UW (I've never heard of him before). Anyways, he was telling me how he "couldn't be more pleased" to congratulate me on making the President's Honor Roll last semester. He went on to talk about how maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA at the University of Wyoming is something I should be very proud of. And you know what, I am!! This is the first and last time I have made Honor Roll. I won't ever make it again, because you have to be a full time student, and I doubt that I will ever be a full time student again, at any University. I knew that I had gotten a 4.0, but getting that concrete evidence to hang on my fridge, take down and read every so often, read to anyone who comes over.... yep, that's a pretty good feeling!

30 weeks, 1 day, and a few hours

Yesterday I hit 30 weeks... that means Baby #2 will be here in 10 weeks or less (or more... but hopefully less)! I'm really feeling overwhelmed at the thought of having two children. But no turning back now, right? It just seems like it has gone by so fast!
Tempe is so sweet to her baby sister. She loves to lift up my shirt and pat my tummy, and whenever she has her sippy cup, she holds it up to my belly and makes slurping noises so that baby sister can have a drink, too. I hope she is just as sweet and loving when the baby is actually here!

Bahama Mama

This is Jason's last year of law school, so it's the last winter that we will have a month off at Christmas time. We decided to take advantage of it!! First, we flew to Florida, where we met my family at Port Canaveral and took a five-day Caribbean cruise to Nassau, which included a faxed-ID fiasco (Mom barely made it on the ship), a chocolate buffet at midnight, a very sad baby with sunscreen in her eyes at the beach, and a visit to a pirate museum.

The Andersons meet a pirate!

After our cruise, we flew to Nashville to spend a few more days (including Christmas) with my family. Tempe had a great time running around Grandma and Grandpa's house and destroying things. She loved the cats so much but they weren't so sure about her.

Grandma held the cats down so that Tempe could pet them.
A few days after Christmas, it was time to get on another plane and fly to Utah, where we spent the rest of the break with Jason's family. Tempe sure got spoiled over the month--she had plenty of attention everywhere we went!

Tempe and cousin Maddy had fun playing together during our visit!

Baby Sister is on her way!

We found out on November 29th that we are expecting another girl in April! Tempe is excited to be a big sister in just three months. She loves lifting up Mommy's shirt to hug Baby Sister and she always nods and says "Uh-huh" when we ask her if she loves the baby (we'll see if that changes when Baby gets here!)
For those of you who may be interested in what we are naming our new addition, Jason gets all naming privileges. I had to give up all my naming rights in order to get him to agree to finding out the baby's gender!! I know, it's crazy. I tried to take it back the next day, but he's too smart to give it up. He is excited to choose the name, but don't bother asking him what he is considering, because he won't tell you! All I can say is, he hasn't really narrowed it down yet, so if you have any suggestions, send him an email :)
